Welcome to UYT
United Youth Theatre (UYT) is Michiana’s Premier Youth Theatre. Our approach is unique because the focus goes beyond just entertainment. We believe theater is a vehicle for developing lifelong skills for the kids involved in our organization. These skills include confidence, public speaking, conflict resolution, teamwork, and creativity. The skills developed during the show process have wide-ranging applicability beyond the stage. At UYT, we consider the stage not merely a platform for performance, but a space for learning essential life skills. We envision a future where the youth in our community are equipped not just for today's performances but for a lifetime of learning and leadership. One of our current middle school students sums up UYT’s approach perfectly, “we aren’t just telling stories, we are changing lives.”
