Band Auditions Footloose

UYT is looking for talented musicians to join the live band for our upcoming production of Footloose. This high-energy musical tells the story of Ren, a city teenager who moves to a small town where dancing is banned. Determined to bring music and joy back to the town, Ren rallies his friends to fight for what they love most. Filled with iconic '80s hits like "Footloose," "Holding Out for a Hero," and "Let's Hear It for the Boy," this show is a celebration of music, dance, and the power of self-expression.
Join us in bringing this unforgettable musical to life on stage! Rehearsals start March 17th, with practices on Monday evenings and every other Saturday leading up to tech week and show dates in June.
We are looking for the following instruments for our band this year.
Keyboard 1, Keyboard 2 , Flute, Clarinet, Tenor Saxophone & Baritone Saxophone, Drums Percussion (Tambourine, Congas, Cymbal, Shaker, Tubular Bells, Cow Bell, Bell Tree, Timpani, Xylophone, Triangle etc), Electric Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, and Electric Bass.
If cast in the band, there will be a $75 production fee per member. This fee will be used towards production expenses, including instrument rental, sound equipment and other music/show needs. Even with this in place, it is our commitment and mission to provide access to the arts for EVERY kid. Payment plans will always be available and additional support can be granted on an as need basis.
